TABI Commemoration of October 7th

October 7 has indelibly left its mark in our hearts and memories. We remember where we were, what we were doing, and the sinking sense of horror and loss on what should have been a day of celebration and joy in our Torah.  We need meaningful ways of commemoration this horrific day as a community. To that end, we will be having 2 distinct moments of commemoration for our TABI members.

1.      TABI Commemoration on 10/7 at 12:00 PM on the TABI Facebook Page

On Rosh Hashanah, you will be given as you leave the sanctuary, a Yahrzeit Candle and an accompanying prayer sheet. At noon on Monday, October 7th, Gloria and I will go live on our TABI Facebook page and encourage you to join us at that time as we all light our respective candles and join in prayer. If you won’t be joining us for Rosh Hashanah, the candles and prayer sheet will be available in the office on the morning of 10/7 between 9 and 11 AM.

2.      TABI Commemoration of October 7th on Yom Kippur Afternoon

During the Afternoon Service on Yom Kippur – which starts at 3:30 PM – we will have a full commemoration including creative readings, prayers and music. This will be in lieu of much of the traditional afternoon service. This service will then lead right into our traditional Yizcor Service at approximately 5:30 PM.

Break the Fast
Break the Fast is Saturday October 12th after the Yom Kippur Services.
