UPCOMING EVENTS

Our Aging Parents, Our Aging Selves
Thursday,  June 13th at 6:00 – 8:00 pm at TABI

Please join our TABI family as we learn, discuss, and support each other as we learn more about what we can expect as we, our parents, and our loved ones age.  The two part program will be presented by SWIRCA (Southwest Indiana Regional Council on Aging).  The first part will include basic information on SWIRCA and the services provided in the 6 county area.  The second part will introduce the Demetia Friends initiative.  Dementia Friends is a global movement that is changing the way people think,  act, and talk about dementia. Developed by the Alzheimer’s Society in the United Kingdom, the Dementia Friends initiative is underway in Indiana and across the United States.  By helping everyone in a community understand what dementia is and how it affects families, each of us can make a difference for people touched by dementia.

Please reach out to Elissa if you would like transportation to this discussion.   Please RSVP to Elissa.

TABI Heritage Map Project is underway!
Where were you born? Are you an Evansville native or a transplant?
Did your grandparents immigrate from another country?
Help us map our collective ancestry by filling out a simple form on our website https://templeabi.org/tabi-heritage-map. We will collect the data and everyone who submits their family history will be represented by pins in beautiful maps that will hang at TABI as a part of our Library Archive Project. Learn more here or contact Ed Scharf (escharf@gmail.com) with any questions.

Thank you to those who have helped restock the grocery and gas cards for our Give One Take One program. We can always use more, so please think of those who are in the need the next time you go to the store or the gas station and perhaps pick up one $20.00 card to donate. The baskets are located on the wall next to the Rabbi’s office.
