TABI’s Sacred Arts Projects was happy to sponsor a three part Tallit Making Workshop led by Gloria Schwartz Mazo and Helen Isaac. Participants created their blessing using a counted cross-stitch technique. We partnered with Let’s Sew in Evansville where we wandered through miles of fabrics, trims, and sewing notions. Each one found unique and beautiful fabrics and then headed into the sewing room to sew up the seams. At our last session, we gathered to tie our tzitzit and turn our creations into tallitot!
